PT-REG pressure regulator

Simple pressure regulation

Pressure regulation is an important aspect of any dosing system. Precise control of the inlet pressure to the dosing pump is a crucial factor in ensuring perfect application precision and stable pressure. It also helps protect the pump and extend its service life.

In an industrial or automotive paint application, paints are very often recirculated at high pressures through the color changer. It is therefore essential to be able to lower and regulate this pressure before the product enters the dosing pump.

Our PT-REG regulator is a 1:1 ratio, downstream pressure-type regulator. It regulates the pressure at the regulator outlet. However, an "open air" connection cannot be regulated. It must be possible to generate a minimum pressure of 0.8 bar through pressure drop, e.g. by means of a restriction or by connecting a dosing pump.

It is ideally designed to be perfectly integrated into a complete dosing system comprising a color changer and a gear pump (see here), offering an ultra-compact system suitable for installation in a robot arm. It can also be installed in stand-alone mode, by fitting an adapter with side I/O.

Its simple design makes maintenance very easy, and a leak indicator is there to warn if there is a problem.
